Volunteer activities include:
- Helping with registration, small group facilitation, etc. for our community events
- Photographing an event
- Sharing information about issues or events with your friends and neighbors
- Hosting a coffee in your neighborhood about an issue
- Serving on ad hoc committees regarding issues or events
- Spreading the word about our e-newsletter to encourage others to sign up
- Delivering holiday items to senior centers

Our Internship Program
Our office provides excellent opportunities for college students and graduate students to gain meaningful professional experience in policy research and development, community organizing, communications and press work, and constituent services. Though our internship positions are unpaid, we work closely with students to meet their academic goals, and some students receive academic credit for their work with our office. Additionally, our office often hires former interns as paid staff when positions become available.

Casework Fellows - Social Work In Action
We currently have a partnership with Our Lady of the Lake and the University of Texas at San Antonio to provide practicum placements for students pursuing their Masters of Social Work.
Students studying case management assist our constituents with difficulties they encounter in dealing with social services, unemployment benefits, the prison system, and other state services.
