During these tough economic times, I know that families are trying to save money any way they can. 

This weekend, August 20-22, is the annual sales tax-free weekend in Texas. You save approximately eight dollars for every $100 you spend on eligible items, including school supplies.  You can find a list of eligible items here.

The San Antonio Independent School District's school supply list can be found here. 

What is your favorite school supply?  I think mine is the four-colored pen.  I always ran out of blue and black ink long before red or green, but it was nice to know those colors were there.  I would use green ink for new vocabulary words, red ink for important information, and blue or black ink for basic notes.
