Here's a photo from yesterday's panel discussion at UT on Hispanic leadership of Representative Diana Maldonado, Dr. Victor Saenz and me.
I was glad to get such a positive response to my suggestion that we fund colleges partially based on graduation rates rather than just students enrolled at the beginning of the semester. We need to build on our investment in TEXAS Grants for college students, but we also need to get more bang for our higher education bucks if we are going to meet our college graduation goals.
